Formed in the spring of the 2020 pandemic, Youth With a Mission Newry is based along the border town of Newry within Northern Ireland. Our heart is to see God's Kingdom of love established through creative initiatives that build community and inspire hope.

CREATIVITY //
One of YWAM's greatest strengths is their fervour to champion the skills and gifts that God has given to each one us. We believe that creative gifts come in all different forms and have a passion to see those gifts sharpened, edified and released into Newry, the island of Ireland and across the world. We have vision to host after school art programs, facilitate community art projects and develop second-level YWAM training programs that equip people to use their skills to bring the Kingdom of God to earth.
RESTORATION //
While this Emerald Isle is renown for its breathtaking beauty, it also has a dark past steeped in conflict resulting in wounds that have left a generational impact, especially along the borderlands. We recognise a need to be peacemakers wherever we go and feel called to be a part of God's heart to bring restoration and renewal to the beautiful, yet battered, border town of Newry. In all that we do we want to see the broken experience healing, the lost find belonging and redemption in the unconditional love of Jesus Christ.
COMMUNITY //
We believe that human connection is a vital part of maintaining a happy and healthy soul. The after effects of the pandemic left many with traumatic experiences of being isolated, lonely and hopeless. We want to be a place where people can gather, feel welcome and plug into a greater community of people. Eventually we hope to host open mic nights, karaoke nights, after school art programs, creative seminars and many other initiatives that build community and encourage human connection.

Inspired by all those who feel they never quite fit in with any particular side. The ones who live in the middle-grounds of faith. These are the people on the fringes of our societies, bursting with potential but all too often overlooked. We want to uplift, empower and encourage those who feel stuck on the fringes to find freedom, purpose and belonging in Jesus Christ.
A YWAM NEWRY INITIATIVE
THE BIG PICTURE //
Fringe Coffee Co. is the first major project we're undertaking as YWAM Newry. Due to the negative effects the virus has had on our society we felt the importance of creating a platform that encourages human connection within an outdoor context in the Newry area, and what better way to do that than over a hot cuppa?!
Our vision is to develop our own locally roasted coffee that can be sold both online and at local locations. Ultimately, our goal is to eventually expand into a mobilised coffee truck and also a physical building, with the addition of an arts & media centre. Fringe Coffee Co. would serve as a community coffee shop that funds sustainable living schemes in strategic locations around the world, while the arts & media centre would facilitate training programs and creative projects within a missional context.
